Rainforest Code was created to explain the technology being deployed to protect tropical forests — satellites detecting illegal deforestation, AI identifying species from camera trap images, drones mapping the canopy, acoustic sensors detecting chainsaws, DNA tools cataloguing biodiversity, and community apps empowering forest guardians. We translate complex conservation technology into accessible journalism.
